The aim of meditation is to bring inner peace within our self and the world in a positive and spiritual way. The world is not a peaceful place and every soul feels according to its sensitivity tension and stress. In meditation we learn to see the world differently, not through outer authority but by truly listening to and observing ourselves. Through practise we gain ever greater freedom to choose our thoughts, freedom to understand and release feelings and freedom to exercise our wills and take action. Meditation gives us the space to reconnect with the meaning of our lives and to uncover this meaning in relation to the people around us to ever greater depths.
The fruits of meditation are many. My own personal experience would emphasize 3 aspects that have been most significant for me.
